The PHOTOIMAGEN International Photography Festival is organized by the Imagen 83 Foundation, this year, we will be celebrating its 10th edition. Since its birth in 2006, PHOTOIMAGEN has become a platform for the projection of photography – in and from the Dominican Republic – contributing to the positioning of the country on the international artistic map. It was established in order to promote quality photographic art and exchange techniques and knowledge about photography and video art.
The Imagen 83 Foundation is a non-profit organization for the development of photography and video, for education and dissemination, based in the Image Center of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

El Festival Internacional de Fotografías PHOTOIMAGEN, es organizado por la Fundación Imagen 83, este año, estaremos celebrando su X edición. Desde su nacimiento en el 2006, PHOTOIMAGEN se ha convertido en una plataforma de proyección de la fotografía –en y desde la República Dominicana– contribuyendo al posicionamiento del país en el mapa artístico internacional. Se estableció con el fin de promover el arte fotográfico de calidad e intercambiar técnicas y conocimientos sobre fotografía y videoarte.
La Fundación Imagen 83 es una organización sin ánimo de lucro en pro del desarrollo de la fotografía y el video, para la educación y difusión, con sede en el Centro de la Imagen de Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.
