The Image Center is a public institution, attached to the Ministry of Culture, whose objectives are to disseminate, preserve and reflect on photography through exhibitions, educational programs, publications and the creation of a collection. In its facilities, located in an old tobacco factory dating from the end of the 18th century, around 360 exhibitions have been carried out on photography and the image of national and international artists that have consolidated it as a reference At national and international level. Its activities also include workshops, seminars and presentations, as well as two of the most relevant events for the photographic community in Mexico: the Mexico Photography and Photo Biennial.

El Centro de la Imagen es una institución pública, adscrita a la Secretaría de Cultura, cuyos objetivos son difundir, preservar y reflexionar sobre la fotografía por medio de exposiciones, programas educativos, publicaciones y la conformación de un acervo. En sus instalaciones, situadas en una antigua fábrica de tabaco que data de finales del siglo XVIII, se han llevado a cabo alrededor de 360 exposiciones en torno a la fotografía y la imagen de artistas nacionales e internacionales que lo han consolidado como una referencia a nivel nacional e internacional. Sus actividades incluyen también talleres, seminarios y presentaciones, así como dos de los eventos más relevantes para la comunidad fotográfica en México: la Bienal de Fotografía y Foto México.
